Just a little bit of football injuries

This is my boyfriend Aaron, we've been together since we were in 8th grade and our freshman year of high school he played varsity football for Thomas Dale.  He would go to football combines over the summer and he was playing a 7 on 7 at UVA and clearly got tackled.  He sent me this picture and I've saved it, I think it is so funny and he'd be so mad if he saw this.  :) He had this black eye for about 2 weeks and his eye was so red!  I felt so bad but this face will never get old!

Out of class assignment two

The same weekend I went to Radford I also visited Tech, I loved Tech way more than Radford the school was gorgeous!  It reminded me a lot of William and Mary it had an old look to it and I would love to go there if it was not so far away.  Tech was much nicer than Radford and it was fun as well.  Although I loved the look of Tech better I do have to admit Radford was much more fun.  Virginia Tech has a very unique look to it that make all of their students fall in love with the campus!  I am so sure that if Tech was not so far away I would go there, but I cannot be hours away from home.
This is my best friend Kelly who goes to Tech I stayed with her and had tons of fun catching up with her.

Out of class assignment one!

Last weekend, November 1st I went to visit Radford!  It was tons of fun and I got to see some of bestfrirends, the town was beautiful and there were so many people.  In Radford it felt like a real college town it was small and everyone was really friendly.  Although I would not want to go there for school I would definitely go back and visit!  It was great to visit a school that I would have never visited on my own.  This helped me realize that it is tons of fun to visit but makes me not want to go home.
These are all my friends from home, we all went to Radford and got to see everyone we hung out with in high school.

there's a first time for everything!

So I got my first tattoo today and I just have to post it!  I am full Italian and have a very close family, as I've mentioned I have two younger sisters who I love very much, this says sisters forever in italian and it is on my my back right shoulder!  This has a lot of meaning to me because I am very close to my two younger sisters.  They mean the world to me and I would do anything for them.  My one younger sister who is 16 just got the same matching one but she got it on her collar bone.  I cannot wait for my younger sister who is currently 9 to get older so she can match with us.  They are both so sweet and although we have very different personalities we all care about each other and I am so happy that we decided to do this.

just a little late

Im just a little late writing my blog for the week, oops but just wanted to post a little humor.  I have not had the best luck with cars, this was taken last year it was a rainy fall night and I was leaving my dad's as I pulled into my driveway I decided I would try to back in....given previous experiences I do not know why I thought this would be smart.  Anyways I have my sister in the passenger seat with me and next thing I know I am in the ditch and looking up at my sister since the car was practically on one wheel.  My sister thought that this was the funniest thing ever and calls my neighbor over (the boy in the blue) and they start laughing this was one of many pictures they took that night.  No one was home and I ended up having to call my dad and some other neighbors drove by with a pick up truck and were able to pull my car out!  I was so relieved that there was hardly any damage done.  I think it is so funny how we can look back on things and laugh but during that moment I was crying and thought the world was going to end.

reminiscing

This was my right before my senior year of high school started, I cheered all four years and loved every second of it.......okay well not maybe every second, but pretty close to it.  My team was absolutely wonderful and this group of ladies is like a family to me.  From friday night games to early and sometimes late competition days we stuck by each other and supported one another.  I am in the front and center and in the row with me were my fellow senior cheerleaders.  It is so sad to think this is all over with, but I still will go and support Thomas Dale Cheerleading (TDC), and of course wish them the best.

This was my lovely stunt group last year these three girls helped me so much and made everything so funny at practice, we all got very close and I miss them so much! We would always have sleepovers before competitions, go out to eat every friday night before football games, and were just a very funny stunt group.

This trophy was probably the most rewarding thing all season, as TDC we work very hard in the off season to prepare for all of our competitions, for me districts was the biggest competition to ever compete in because of the factor of rivalry from other local schools, to win this trophy my senior year along with my sophomore year was such an honor and I could't have asked for a better year with this wonderful team!

How my journey began

I guess this should be an introductory blog... I've never done this before so I don't know where to begin.  This is my first semester at bland, being a freshman again is different, but it is nothing like high school, which definitely is not a bad thing.  I love the way classes are here, you can pick and choose your schedule and make it when it is convenient for each individual person here.  It is more individual work for you to do on your own time which will take some time getting used to, but the experience is great.  A little about myself, since I could walk I started to dance, I danced for ten years and loved it but when I was in kindergarten I wanted to cheer.  I have done that since kindergarten and continued with it through middle and high school.  I just graduated from Thomas Dale High School this past year and as much as I love college I miss it, especially cheering.  Although I do not currently cheer I do still tumble and keep up with all of my skills.  I am also a big gym person, I am constantly at American Family Fitness even if it is only for thirty minutes I still make a point to go.  I keep a tight schedule and am very busy between being a full time student, working two jobs, and personal daily problems I hardly have time to myself let alone other people.  To some people that may not sound fun, but I absolutely love it, I love staying busy and always having something to do.  I have two younger sisters one is a junior in high school, and the other is in third grade this year, they both keep me smiling every day.  My dad owns Vincenzo's Italian Restaurant in Colonial Heights and my mom owns Pilo Arts Hair Salon in Colonial Heights as well, both are very successful and I love them both for providing everything they have for my sisters and I both WITHOUT a college degree which is a blessing in itself.  My father is one of the most successful men I know considering he dropped out of high school at age 14 to work at his dads pizzeria although he did go back and get his GED he is so lucky that we have a successful business that provides for us.  I am the first person ever on both sides of my family to attend college, so not only is this something completely new to me, but to my family as well.  This just pushes me even more to finish and accomplish my goals.  A little more about me, hm let's see, I have found that I am constantly changing my mind and am battling myself most of the time (I hope that is with everybody at this age though). I change my career choice almost everyday I am very not really shy but I am not the most outgoing either, and when I am in an uncomfortable situation I won't be the first to speak up, but I won't be the last either.  I love music and am a tad bit obsessed with Drake, but then I switch genres and love Ed Sheeran just as much.  I can't really describe myself in words, that is probably one of my weaknesses I love writing in every other way though, my senior year in high school 4 out of my 7 classes were very writing intensive, I had of course english, two journalism classes, and one creative writing class.  I was an editor for journalism at my high school and through all my four years spent all of my time doing some kind of writing.  Enough about me though, sorry for the boring first blog post about my life but I guess we all have to start somewhere right?
